Search and Rescue (SAR)

For more than five decades, CHC has been providing Search and Rescue (SAR) in challenging and hostile environments – from remote, perilous, and extreme terrains to offshore rescues in the towering swells of the Arctic Circle and the North Sea, the vast Atlantic Ocean, the cyclone-prone tropical waters of the Timor Sea, both sides of the Indian Ocean, and the Caspian Sea.

We operate one of the world’s most extensive and technologically sophisticated SAR networks, with helicopters, crews, and support teams stationed around the world to respond at a moment’s notice with mission critical flights to safeguard the public and protect offshore workers.

Our flight crews have extensive operational experience and also continuously hone their skills through rigorous live training as well as simulator training across many disciplines, including conning aircraſt into position, simulated rescues, and providing medical treatment in all manner of SAR environments.

Supporting our flight crews, we have highly trained engineers and maintenance teams keeping our fleet prepared to exceptional standards of readiness. A global logistics and engineering team efficiently sources and tailors whatever customers need from anywhere in the world to meet the demands of round-the-clock operations. Meanwhile, our ground crews track flights and provide critical support, as well as utilizing iSAR, an advanced analytical application which monitors systems, measures performance and collects flight performance data to provide transparent and accurate mission reporting to our customers in real time.

Emergency Medical Services (EMS)

With the capability to maintain readiness up to 24 hours a day, 7 days a week, in all weather conditions, CHC’s emergency medical services have been saving lives around the world for decades.

We offer a fleet of highly specialized medevac helicopters and aircrews with specialized training and countless hours of direct and related operation experience. Along with pilots and winch operators, every emergency crew includes experienced medical personnel to guarantee the best medical treatment and chance of recovery based on an efficient response throughout the mission. Our engineers also have the specialized capabilities to keep these aircraſt in the air and ready to help save lives.

Ever ready to provide immediate response, our crews can be wheels up within 15 minutes in daylight, and wheels up in 30 minutes from dusk to dawn anywhere in the world.
